Compliance Services - ESOS, DEC, CRC
ESOS - Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme
If on the 31st December 2018 your organisation employed 250 or more people or had an annual turnover in excess of 50 million euro and an annual balance sheet total in excess of 43 million euro, then you have to comply with Phase 2 of ESOS.
ESOS requires action by 5 December 2019:
- Measure total energy consumption for buildings, industrial processes and transport
- Conduct audits to identify cost-effective energy efficiency recommendations for areas of significant energy consumption; and
- Report compliance to their national scheme administrator – the Environment Agency in England, SEPA in Scotland, NIEA in Northern Ireland and NRW in Wales.
Redding Associates can provide all your requirements from our experienced, in-house Lead Assessor and auditor. We provided such services to over 20 large organisations in Phase 1. However, to ensure a quality service we will be limiting the numbers in Phase 2 so pleas contact us soon for a quotation.
DEC - Display Energy Certificates
Display energy certificates (DECs) are required for any public sector building over 250m2 floor area that is frequently visited by the public. Redding Associates have provided over 1000 DECs for buildings as diverse as primary schools and the Met Office. We also go the extra mile by providing advice on implementing measures, utility purchasing, obtaining grants and loans and benchmarking against similar sites. Please contact us to discuss your requirements..
SECR - Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting
This applies to large organisations – if you are in ESOS you are likely to be under this scheme. SECR requires an annual energy and carbon report to be produced and starts from the first accounting period after 1st April 2019. Therefore it may not apply to you until 2020 but the information gathered for ESOS will help in its production. Our ESOS assessment will automatically include an SECR implementation plan. Contact us for more information.
CRC - Carbon Reduction Commitment
The carbon reduction commitment will complete in 2019 with the final surrender of allowances due October. We have been directly helping organisations by auditing figures, completing on-line submissions and assisting with regulator audits. The Environment Agency is stepping up audits so if you want value for money and experienced advice plus a free review of your evidence pack then contact us .
