Energy Audits
Energy auditing is the core of our business. We design them to understand your energy use and provide a clear strategy to reduce consumption and costs.
Why use us
Our staff have been producing energy audits since 1987, and ever since then we have worked for organisations within nearly every sector of the economy – from schools to universities, health centres to hospitals, small shops to supermarkets, gas distribution to food distribution, pie makers to oven makers – you name it, we probably know it!
Our breadth of knowledge ensures you are confident that we will understand the barriers and the best solutions to energy reduction within your organisation.
Our approach
Stage 1: Understand
We always start the process by getting to know you and your organisation. You are there 52 weeks a year and so know how your site operates! We find this time invaluable to ensure the right approach and the right people are involved.
Stage 2: Analyse
We are also experts in analysing data – the boring bills and huge spreadsheets of data that are produced by a plethora of utility companies, sub meters, production equipment, finance departments etc. We sift, analyse and summarise to enable us to focus on the areas where action needs to be taken and accurately identify the level of savings that are possible.
Stage 3: Report
Our reports are bespoke. A summary of key findings and a usable action plan is often the best approach, but we can also provide a more detailed technical report if required. The most important thing is that you are able to use the information to reduce your energy costs and carbon emissions as soon as possible.
Case Study: The Met Office
The Met Office is the UK’s national weather and climate service, and its headquarters are at a purpose-built site in Exeter.
We have been reviewing the energy use annually since 2008, and as part of ESOS, we undertook a detailed energy audit of the 38,000m2 site, which includes the huge supercomputers used in forecasting.
We identified over £600,000 of energy cost savings and valuable insights into the improvement of monitoring and controls.
Whether it is an initial overview or a detailed technical audit, we will provide timely and practical advice. Contact us for a free, no-obligation chat about your requirements.
